Queen for a Day Raffle

Package includes:

  • A full half-hour massage from Kassi Barker, registered massage therapist
  • A gift basket from Tastefully Simple
  • A Day of Cleaning from Organized Minds
  • Shopping Spree at Hummingbird Farm (retail value $50)

Friday

Betsy Baird, from Norway, will be demonstrating
the fancy knitting she has entitled Knitting Flowers.
Betsy is working on her master’s degree in knitting and will be
displaying lots of her beautiful work provided the weather cooperates
(which it will, because we say so!).

Saturday

  • Mom’s can always use a little pampering, so pamper yourself and receive a FREE mini-massage from Kassi Barker, registered massage therapist. She will be here Saturday from 11-2 for your relaxation!

  • Would love a massage but not sure what to do with the kids? We will have children’s activities from 9 AM to noon. Seed planting, coloring books, story time and games will all be included in the fun! We will be reading books suggested by the American Horticultural Society, and the reading will accompany snacks and an activity for the young ’uns. At the end of the morning, each little gardener will go home with their very own scarlet runner bean that they planted themselves!

  • Prefer to spend time with your children on your special day? Starting at 1 PM, we will have a mother-child scavenger hunt. Find the plants listed in your clues and win a free gift! Enjoy a chance to educate your children about gardening while learning new things about your favorite plants!

  • Don’t feel like cooking afterwards? Christine Tanous from Tastefully Simple, a company specializing in pre-made gourmet foods will be joining us to provide information about their products and will have samples and gift baskets available. She'll be here from 10 AM to 3 pm on Saturday.

  • Hooked on Hostas? Bernie Slofer from the Maine Hosta Society will be here to answer your questions,
tempt you with special varieties and encourage you to join the MHS!
(We think MHS membership is one of the very best bargains in the world today!)
