
Fancy Pelargoniums include all those that do not have plain green or zoned leaves. They can be gold, bi-colored or tri-colored. This picture shows Grossersorten (a zonal), Petals (a bi-color) and Vancouver Centennial (a bi-color stellar). (The red plant at the back of the photo is a coleus.) Many Fancy Leaf varieties, especially those with tri-color and gold leaves, appreciate some shade in the afternoon.
There is nearly as much variation in leaf color and pattern as there is in flower color.
