Large Flowered Hybrid Varieties
Many of the late flowering large flowered
hybrids are also hard prune clematis.
Viticella Varieties
Clematis with the viticella species in their background tend to have smaller flowers
than the large flowered hybrids (LFH). In some varieties, the flowers are flat and face
outward like the LFH, but in others, the flowers are bell shaped and face downwards.
